Nicanor Guzman, age 92 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 02, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was born in January 10, 1929 in Higuerito, Moca Dominican Republic to Rita Ulerio and Daniel Guzman. They later migrated to Ranchete, El Mamey Los Hidalgos in the Dominican Republic for his entire childhood and most of his adulthood. Nicanor then migrated to Paterson, New Jersey in November of 1987 at the age of 58 where he lived for the rest of his life. He worked at Sheer Distributors in Totowa NJ since his arrival until the company shutdown in 2003 and he later retired. Nicanor truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures like playing the guitar, dancing and spending time with family listening to music and reminiscing about his younger life. He is survived by his 13 Children: Vituro, Milagros, Angela, Urbano, Lucia, Nicanor, Anavelys, Teresa, Ramon, Ibanessa, Desire, Jose “Popo”, Iluminada, 44 Grandchildren, 60 great Grandchildren, 13 great-great- Granchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, god children’s, family and friends. Even during times of social distancing, anyone who has suffered a loss deserves love and support more than ever before.
