Manuel E. Almonte

November 7, 1950 - December 24, 2020

Manuel E. Almonte, known to family and friends as the embodiment of the family, was born on November 7th,1950 to the parents of Jose Almonte and Amelia Cabrera in Mao, Dominican Republic. He was the youngest of 6 siblings and has 3 younger half siblings. He departed this life to meet his parents that lay in heaven and to meet our dear Lord and Savior on December 24th, 2020. Manuel lived a long life of 70 years where he mostly resided in Paterson, NJ. He came to the United States in the 80s from the Dominican Republic. As a well-rounded traveler, Manuel has celebrated life in many countries like Spain, France, Germany, and Switzerland. He also possessed the yearning passion for dancing to his native music like Merengue but was always the most happy when he danced Salsa. Manuel additionally had an attraction to cars and went to car dealerships often and even took upon the chance to teach many people in his life how to drive, especially his 3 children and wife. Apart from the more material and trivial things in his life, Manuel was always serious and adamant on being hard-working and the ultimate provider for his family. He was humble in the way that he also made it a priority to devote his life to Christ and become heavily involved in the Catholic Church and the choir. Manuel was always so generous, loving, caring, and the voice of reason. Now his absence has placed an emptiness in the hearts of his family and everyone that he has touched in this lifetime. May the Lord replace this sorrow with all the memories that Manuel has made. Manuel’s everlasting presence will always be felt. His departure from this life will never be an end but the commencement of an eternal legacy. We all love you and hope you are resting like the King that you are. Even during times of social distancing, anyone who has suffered a loss deserves love and support more than ever before. Let the family know you care by leaving treasured memories, thoughts and prayers on the Tribute Wall.
