Justina Stella Meza-Falcon

February 2, 2022

Justina Stella Falcon- Meza, also referred to as Stella by her friends and family; and Ma'mamama to her grandchildren, was a loving Wife, Mother, and neighbor. On Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, she departed this dear life after courageously fighting with health issues. She was born April 14th in Lima, Peru, to her late loving parents, Victor Matta, and Crisalida Falcon. In 1970 Stella migrated from Peru to the united states and became a lifelong resident of Paterson, NJ. There she met and married the love of her life, Jose Meza. Together they raised two sons, Yury Oswaldo Meza and Dennis Harold Meza. Stella was a professional cook and seamstress. She loved sewing elaborate designs for her family and friends, especially Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. While her passion was for sewing, she also found the love of being a Home Health Aide. Being a dedicated Home Health Aide in Paterson brought her so much joy until her retirement. During her retirement, she mastered gardening, understood the anatomy of herbs, loved sunflowers, and dedicated her life to her husband and grandchildren. She was loved by all she met. There was nothing she wouldn't do to help others. Friends and family alike. Stella was preceded in death by her siblings Irma Matta, Julia Matta, Esther Matta, Jusus Matta-Osorio, George Matta, and Enrique Matta. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jose Meza; one sister Sylvina Matta; her two sons, Yury O. Meza, Dennis H. Meza, and grandchildren, Elyza Nealy, Nathalia Meza, Cicely Meza, Fred Meza, Dennis Meza Jr., Adiel Meza, Yury Meza, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that will continue to celebrate this gift of life. With grateful hearts, we, the family of the late Justina Stella Meza, acknowledge the love that you have shown through cards, phone calls, followers, and other kind deeds rendered during our bereavement. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, The Meza Family. Even during times of social distancing, anyone who has suffered a loss deserves love and support more than ever before. Let the family know you care by leaving treasured memories, thoughts and prayers on the Tribute Wall.
