Betty J. Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty J. Johnson was born March 2, 1951 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Gladys Brooks. She received her formal education in Greenville, SC before moving to Paterson, New Jersey at the age of sixteen where she went to Eastside HS. She was employed for over 23 years at Regency Gardens in Wayne, NJ, there she held a position in Housekeeping. She joined the Second Baptist Church and was also a member of the American Legion Lodge 258. Betty was a fun-loving, strong will and very independent person who brought joy and laughter to those she loved. Although she had troubles like so many of us do, she did not let that stop her from showering her immediate family and those whom she cared about with unconditional love that will be felt throughout the remainder of our lifetime. While we all sit with heavy hearts with the loss of someone that will never be replaced, we are comforted in knowing that Betty J. Johnson is in a place of love, reunited with those who left us much too early, and she knows that the love she showered upon us during her time on this earth will reinforce us as a family and help us understand that while we are all not perfect we simply do the best we can. She leaves to cherish her memories: sisters, Edith Young, Christine Edwards and brother, Howard Brooks (Loretta). She also left her mark, contributing to three generations and counting which includes her two daughters, Domonica Johnson (Carmelo), Paulette Earl (Norman), her grandchildren, Tawanna Bianco, DaShawn Talmadge, Ashley Johnson, Marques Johnson, Aja Earl, great- grandchildren and host of family & friends.
